Mainstream and Friends 

Mainstream represents the voice of the urban streets with smooth yet cutting edge grooves that are reminiscent of its rich soulful genre with a Contemporary, Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, and Jazz blend. Mainstream began in 1997 with a nucleus of trombonist Jarrett Miles and trumpeter Jermaine Miles. What began as performances at private functions escalated into bookings at various premier clubs throughout Baltimore. Some of these clubs included: Larry Stewart, The 8x10 nightclub, Club Twisters, The Latin Palace, and Pier 6 concert pavilion, Mainstream, who started receiving request to perform in Philadelphia, started to play other stage performances which included: The famed Arena Playhouse, Morgans, The Electric Factory, and the Five Spot in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mainstream also performed and later became the house band for the World Famous Open Mic Series for all women, The BLACK LILY. The band has rippled the airwaves of the reputable 88.9 WEAA FM radio station in Baltimore, Maryland. The album called “A FUNKY DAY”. Mainstream have performed as well as opened shows for: Kindred and the Family Soul, The Roots, Floetry, Jill Scott, Jazzyfatnastees, Raheem Devaughn, Kem, The Isely Brothers, Yellow Man, Isreal Vibrations, Darin Atwater, Jazz of Druid Hill, Musiq Soul Child, Jay Z, Stevie Wonder, Scott Storch, Jaguar Wright, The Isley Brothers, KEM, Dawn Robinson of Envogue, the Gap Band, John Legend, India Irie. Mainstream have also worked with various record labels and producers, such as Def Jam Records, Motive, Record, Roc-A-Fella Records, Touch of Jazz, and Hidden Beach Records. The brothers took the proven formula used to make the Black Lily the premier open mic series for Black Women and re-tooled it to create an events that anyone could participate. Performing with the likes of Kindred and the Family Soul, The Roots, Floetry, Jill Scott, Jazzyfatnastees, Musiq Soul Child, Jay Z, Stevie Wonder, Scott Storch, Jaguar Wright and others has given the brothers an understanding of the music industry. These qualities are conveyed to all artists and musicians who attend or participate in a Fly High Productions event.  Fly High Productions is dedicated to promoting music, performing arts, and live entertainment in the Baltimore metropolitan area. Those that attend a Melodic Confessions showcase enjoy a variety of music that encompasses Contemporary Funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, Soul and other genre of music.


Fly High Productions varied musical platform gives independent artist a venue to develop their skill set and build a fan base. Over the last four seasons, the majority of artist that participated in Fly High Production Events appealed to the Adult Contemporary (AC), Urban Contemporary (UC), Gospel, and Contemporary Jazz audiences.

Mainstream and Friends is a talent showcase that produces musical ensembles. The Melodic Confessions Series demonstrates high quality music, production, sound and writing; so that musicians and fans can experience the utmost enjoyment of various amateur, up and coming and professional acts. For the past year and a half, Mainstream and Friends has featured various musical acts in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area. As a result of the series success and popularity in Baltimore Mainstream and Friends is now hosting the series in Philadelphia, PA and Atlanta, GA.
